I’m 53 with an 11 year old girl who lives for basketball. When your movie came out it made quite an impression on me. I never forgot it. I want my daughter to see for a realistic perspective on the game she loves. I have always wanted to have this in my personal library and am thrilled to see it now available. I had no idea you wrote the script. I am not surprised. What a talented man you are. Are you still acting? I don’t go see a lot of movies in the theater but if I knew you were in them I definitely would.

Hi Robby, First I want to say I fell in love with that “One on One” came out with intentions on seeing it another time but after the movie was finished I went out to the ticket booth and bought tickets for your movie, it was one of the greatest films I ever seen and that you & your Dad made it was even more moving to me, anyway hope you, Karla and your beautiful children are doing well, will be buying “One on One” right now when I leave this page…thanks for the great resume’ whether in movies, TV and theater (and now books) through the years…..your a doll & also hope your done with heart surgeries ( my husband has gone throught that to). LOVED the movie, and the music; I looked for the soundtrack for… well, decades. Now that I finally found it, I have to ask: in the photo, who is on the far right? I know Robby, and Paul Williams; I’m guessing the back two are Seals and Crofts. But I can’t get anyone to agree on the fifth person. I’ve heard Leo Sayer, Richard Simmons… no two people have ever had the same guess. A definitive answer would be great! Thanks!

I attended Colorado State University while “To Catch A Falling Star” was being filmed. It has always been one of my favorite movies. I have a VHS copy of the movie and record soundtrack and will definitely get the DVD. Thanks for the great memory of my college days.

Annette O’toole, so sexy. The coach,,ruthless, great portrayal by Spradlin. Is he still kickin? The scene where the coach has you playing one on one with that ape…crazy. The final game scene brings me to tears every time…. “all the way up with a red hot poker”…classic.

Hi Robby- I am so happy Warners finally has released One on One- I have been wanting to see this forever- In 1977, I won tickets via a radio show in Chicago when it was released for the premeire- I loved it and still enjoy the soundtrack- I have been following you ever since Richie-sure hope Ode to Billie Joe comes out on dvd one day too- I love the music in this one too and the movie- the photography is gorgeous in the summer time scences – wow – take good care -

I remember seeing “One On One”, when it was first released in theaters back in the 70′s. It will be good to see it again, as you put so much of yourself into this film. I am hoping to see “Ode To Billy Joe,”and “Lucky Lady” on DVD in the future. Also, “Death Be Not Proud”, and ” Our Town”, which you did for television.

Robby my Dad had me watch this movie when I took an interest in basketball in 1982. Man this was one if not the BEST basketball movies of ALL TIME. Rob I’m 40 years old now and I still have it recorded on an old betamax tape, but I need that DVD, cause this was an instant classic!!!!!….thanks for the inspiration. I’ll be talking with you soon. This was a great movie back in ’77 and it’s a great movie today. The soundtrack was dead on for the movie and Robby as a basketball player was outstanding. Thank you for Warner Bros for finally releasing this great movie.
